I Dream...

... of uninterrupted sleep. That would be a nice, lovely wonderful thing. I had that on the cruise, as well as a hive free week.

Today, after doing laundry and washing sheets and stuff twice this weekend, it dawned on me that what is causing the hives is not my laundry soap. I get them at night, while sleeping, and wake up with angry welts. No no. It's not the soap. Were it the soap, I'd be breaking out all day long, rather than just at night. I wear clothes washed from the same soap without breaking out at all.

Now that Nancy is also getting hives, and after talking to my co-worker, Bonnie, it's quite possibly a foregone conclusion that something else in the house is causing this issue. Bonnie suggested the heating filter might need to be changed or replaced or cleaned. Thinking about it, my bed is close to the only heating duct in my room. And, I'm absolutely fine sitting across the room, for the most part. So, this could be the issue.

The week before Nancy and Scott's party was the first time I got hives, and if I'm remembering right, the first weekend in October was when we got our first real cold set of days that where we needed the heater for warmth. So, I'm going to ask them about it this afternoon, and perhaps this could be the issue, especially since, thinking back also.... the hives have coincided with the warmer days in October and November -- where I was hive free -- till the time we had to turn the heater back on.

It's amazing sometimes how we miss little things when issues come out. I absolutely never would have thought to ask about that, prior to talking to Bonnie about such things.

Here's to crossing my fingers this is the issue, because really -- I'm done with waking up 2:30 in the morning, and again around 4 or 5 in the morning, to ice myself down and manage the hives long enough for me to get a few more hours sleep. Talk about a rude awakening!!

The hive free cruise is very telling. Good luck in finding the culprit.
