Disney Plans in Motion...

Last night, my sister Susan and I spent over an hour on the phone working out plane ticket arrangements for our Disney trip in June. We are going out June 21st from Air Tran at 8 am and coming back on the 28th at 7:15 pm. I feel a bit bad because I talked her into buying the travel insurance, in case something happens, and picking seats – both of which cost just a little bit extra.

However, travel insurance is good for her. Her husband has MS, and there’s no telling when a flare up might occur. If he can’t go, because of his MS, his ticket price can be refunded in full for the meager price of $14.99, because of medical reasons. That’s not including the extra protection you get for your luggage going missing or being delayed, both of which can be very, very useful.

So, my Disney plans are set in motion. Susan, David and I all have plane tickets and are now properly flighted. I now need to save the rest of the money needed to get the Disney World tickets, and I’ll have that settled. After that, I’ll need to look into travel arrangements. I’m probably going to be renting a car. There are seven of us going, all told, right now – though I have room for one more person assuming I approve of them, and they don’t mind sharing a bed with me. My biggest worry is getting a car that will fit all of us, or not worrying about it at all and assuming some of the others will have their own transportation. In any case, I intend to get a mini-van. I just don’t think mini-vans seat 8.

Go Disney!

Disneyworld! Sounds like fun. Once again I am jealous of you and your trips. How many days do you actually plan on going to the park? And are are you going to any of the others nearby? Good idea on that travel insurance. Hopefully you won't need to use it. And as for an 8 seater mini-van, there are a few of them out there. Just make sure you specify when you are renting the vehicle.

I'm getting to go because the housing accomodations are only for $200 for the entire week. So, the cost is just the plane ticket, the Disney tickets, and the car rental, which is far cheaper than planning an entire Disney trip. It's nice to have friends who have RCI condos/timeshares and are willing to share!
